About The Position

The incumbent, in close collaboration with the department director, is responsible for performing a wide variety of activities related to IT and systems in place. These responsibilities include: Provide technical support to internal users (level 2-3) (various offices in St-Hubert and Val des Sources in Eastern Townships) in person or by remote intervention Qualify systems (Computers, Servers and Software) using protocols to validate the security of applications used in operation. Creation of Exchange accounts, AD etc. Create and manage GPOs, PowerShell scripts, structure and document group policies in the Active Directory; Help users who work remotely by VPN; Configure and install network equipment (switch, router, firewall, VOIP, VPN) Proactively identify process improvements; Develop and document the procedures for the infrastructure components under its responsibility; Prepare training material and give training on IT tools to users. Contribute to the deployment and compliance with the company's cyber security policies. Provide support during and outside normal hours (if applicable, really occasional) and possibilities to work evenings and weekends during deployments; Administer, Install and configure servers in virtual environment. Administer, Install and configure servers and NAS in virtual environment. Track and process user requests by documenting incidents in the ticketing system; Administer, Install, configure and ensure proper functioning of various computer equipment such as computers, tablets, MFP printers, IP telephony, cell phones and all other electronic devices required by users; Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant (by his immediate superior) as part of the IT technician position

Requirements

  • Have experience in IT support (3-5 years), be able to identify problems (troubleshooting) of computer equipment, applications, network, telephony and make the necessary repairs and recommendations;
  • Knowledge of creating and managing user accounts, access and security in Active Directory, AGDLP and NTFS security configurations in Windows;
  • Very good knowledge of GPO, WSUS and PowerShell
  • Self-taught, dynamic and passionate about IT
  • Knowledge of management and creation of email accounts in Microsoft Exchange;
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10;
  • Microsoft Office 2013, Office 365;
  • Microsoft Server 2012, 2016 and 2019;
  • Virtualization (Scale Computing, Hyper-V, VMware, etc.)
  • Knowing how to plan and prioritize the various mandates / tasks, be structured and carry out quality work
  • Have a good analytical sense, have good judgment and be autonomous;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment (ISO / CGMP) with tight deadlines;
  • Be customer-oriented (Good interpersonal skills, Excellent communication skills and good listening skills)
  • Available to travel occasionally in the province of Quebec (Val des Sources, Estrie).
