About The Position

We are actively looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Process Technician to join our Rework department. AJW Group is a world-leading independent specialist in the supply, exchange, repair and lease of aircraft spare parts. One of the main divisions of the AJW Group is AJW Technique, a state-of-the-art component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility with over 150 experienced and passionate technicians in Montreal. Summary: The main responsibilities of the Process Technician include but are not limited to the following: Clean, sandblast, inspect, apply chemical and thermal treatment to aeronautical and non-aeronautical parts and equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is mandatory
Ability to organize, plan and prioritize workload according to company objectives and priorities.
Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form (bilingualism, French and English, is required for reading and understanding parts maintenance manuals)
Team spirit (a cooperative attitude to process improvement and problem solving)
Production-oriented (i.e. the ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures in order to fulfill job requirements on established bases - performance measures)

Responsibilities

Support parts preparation: wash and clean components, prepare surfaces for painting (sandblasting, polishing and masking)
mix paint to be applied to aeronautical parts
paint components using automatic equipment
perform immersion, ultrasonic and caustic cleaning of aeronautical parts
preparation of cleaning solutions
draw up work specifications
carry out component maintenance, repair or overhaul, following the procedures manual
carry out tasks for which he/she is certified, in accordance with guidelines, i.e. established standards in terms of time, use and efficiency
provide status reports as required, including special update requests
provide practical training to colleagues as requested by the Cell Manager
liaise and cooperate with other cells or departments as required
remain informed of employer messages, updates and directives by responding promptly as required regardless of the channel used
perform other duties related to the position
