Requirements

  • College diploma in aeronautics with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aeronautics
  • Field of study: Aircraft manufacturing, Operations management, Other
  • Good understanding of a Turbo Machine and the regulations related to Transport Canada
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Ability to solve technical problems
  • Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • AI certification (Certified Inspector) is an important asset
  • AMI certification (Aviation Maintenance Engineer) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Establishment, operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of engines and their components, as well as controls and auxiliary products.
  • Orienting and training customer staff by developing procedures and techniques for operation, maintenance, and inspection.
  • Analyzing engine failures and their components to determine the causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform analysis work on the engines to understand the possible solutions that can bring the engine back into service.
  • Establish and define the work instructions to be performed on the engines.
  • Provide disassembly reports, follow up on test results and recommend solutions and fixes as needed to minimize test rejections.
  • Interact with the assemblers / testers / inspectors to direct the work to be done on the product while relying on the aftermarket manuals.
  • Meet occasionally with customers and provide them with the support they need to answer their questions.
