This role is based on flagged hours. The technician will diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. Responsibilities include tearing down, repairing, replacing, and/or rebuilding faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings for all vehicles. The technician will also rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repair manual and automatic transmissions. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for adequately explaining technical diagnoses and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
