Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurses, the Maternal Infant Unit Technician assists nursing personnel by performing a variety of technical patient care activities, provides clerical support, functions as a transporter and assists with duties related to the operation of the Maternal Infant Unit. The employee in this position renders care to infants and women of childbearing age. This role is responsible to perform job responsibilities in light of the mission and values of the Health System, ensuring that the values of Respect, Compassion, Justice, Hospitality, Holistic Approach, Stewardship and Collaboration are present in interactions and services provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/equivalent
  • CPR Certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be available for weekend shift in addition to working during the week

Nice To Haves

  • Previous health care experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills desirable
