About The Position

NC Machinery is opening a new location in Bellingham, Washington, and is seeking a Rental Technician. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team launching a new location. The role involves diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar, Allied, and Genie or aerial equipment, including engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The position requires strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on controlling job costs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for utilizing internal software and completing work orders accurately.

Requirements

A valid driver's license.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook).
Ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneeling.
Flexibility to work in either the shop or field.
Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience.
Potential forklift driving and operation of equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers, in some locations.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar, Allied, and Genie or aerial equipment.
Removing, repairing, assembling, and installing equipment components.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Utilizing CAT diagnostic equipment and CAT repair tooling.
Using rigging and blocking equipment.
Planning and organizing work to control job costs.
Investigating, analyzing, and identifying problems to recommend solutions.
Communicating effectively with a variety of people.
Utilizing internal software and other software programs.
Accurately completing work/service orders.

Benefits

Hourly wage from $30.50 to $41.70 per hour, based on skills and experience.
