About The Position

Provide technical support and resources to manufacturing/engineering processes, equipment and facility. Ensure that equipment, facilities, and processes are maintained at the highest level of safety, efficiency, productivity, and capability. Install and repair systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in all required EHS training.
  • Promptly reports unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Participates in energy management activities that may be assigned.
  • Identifies energy improvements and energy optimization through the natural course of the role making sound judgements on energy conservation.
  • Performs energy use readings or measurements on equipment; and completing required documentation.
  • Understands the impact of individual responsibilities on product quality and consistently performs activities that support achieving, sustaining, and improving quality standards.
  • Adheres to customer requirements and recognizes the risks associated with producing or allowing non-conforming product.
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. This includes all voltages from 0 to 480 volts.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all production, engineering, and material handling equipment.
  • Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair all mechanical and electric test equipment, assist with design and fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and engineering problems/issues.
  • Repair malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and troubleshoot systems, discusses malfunctions with other maintenance workers, and machine operators, to diagnose malfunction.
  • Replaces faulty components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
  • Diagnoses, repairs or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards and processors.
  • Perform Preventative and Predictive maintenance tasks on various equipment IAW prescribed standards.
  • Manipulate and be able to diagnose malfunctions and test functions on robot controllers, teach pendants, and programmable controllers to program automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Perform product test, teardown analysis, and special product builds.
  • Perform capability, PPK, DOE, and special studies/evaluations as required.
  • Perform measurement evaluations of component/product dimensional and physical requirements.
  • Compile and prepare reports for all levels of the management team.
  • Assist with the developing and updating process documentation when necessary.
