Technician - Wind Turbine Maintenance
About The Position
Welcome to the Asset Management Department: The Asset Management Department is a strategic player in maximizing the value and performance of our energy sites. It ensures rigorous and proactive asset management to optimize profitability, sustainability, and alignment with corporate goals. You will play an important role in performing regular and unscheduled preventive maintenance of wind turbines, checking physical and electrical integrity, cable management, current and capacitance readings, and cleaning. You will be proactive in regard to wind turbine maintenance to prevent equipment failure or degradation, monitor performance of wind turbines (power output, temperatures, cooling fan current draw), and perform diagnosis and repairs on wind turbines. In the event of a breakdown, you will promptly respond and quickly provide a solution, replacing motors, fans, cables, sensors, control circuit boards, lighting, and pumps. You will also mentor new staff, teach them theory and practical aspects of the job, review and contribute to the creation of instructional documents and procedures, participate in technical committees sharing and addressing turbine issues, and participate in achieving OHS goals and objectives, including inspecting PPE – harnesses, rescue equipment, etc.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of the electrical energy environment and hydraulic engineering

Responsibilities
- Perform regular and unscheduled preventive maintenance of wind turbines
