Requirements

Good knowledge of the electrical energy environment and hydraulic engineering
Confined space, and precision skills
Demonstrate a good sense of innovation and ability to multi-task
Excellent capacity for thorough analysis
Good organizational skills and autonomy
Good collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

Perform regular and unscheduled preventive maintenance of wind turbines
Check physical and electrical integrity of the turbine, Cable management, Current and capacitance readings, Cleaning
Be proactive in regard to wind turbine maintenance to prevent equipment failure or degradation
Monitor performance of wind turbines: power output, temperatures, cooling fan current draw
Perform diagnosis and repairs on wind turbines
In the event of a breakdown, promptly respond and quickly provide a solution
Replace motors, fans, cables, sensors, control circuit boards, lighting, pumps
Mentor new staff and teach them theory and practical aspects of the job
Review and contribute to the creation of instructional documents and procedures
Participate in technical committees sharing and addressing turbine issues
Participate in achieving OHS goals and objectives
Inspect PPE – harnesses, rescue equipment, etc
