About The Position

The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management. This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years or more related experience. Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, bills of materials and complex assembly instructions in order to assemble PWBs.
  • Experience of running pick and place line
  • Must be able to obtain or be currently certified to: IPC/WHMA-A-610; Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) in accordance with ANSI S20.20; and Polymerics use and application.
  • Willingness to cross-train with other tasks across the organization.
  • Ability to work complex processes efficiently with little supervision.
  • Ability to work in a lab/production environment majority of the time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of program personnel and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (including Excel, Outlook, and Word).

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, clean room and flow bench and experience working with critical Flight hardware preferred.
  • Knowledge of AOI and selective solder preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate highly reliable aerospace PWB (PCB) assemblies for Flight and non-Flight applications.
  • Program, set up and run SMT line with machines such as pick-and-place, stencil printers, reflow ovens and SPI
  • Hand load and run Selective wave soldering machine
  • Load component reels and check part numbers, counts, and placement.
  • Perform other duties assisting with PWB assembly as required by management.
  • Audit/verify kits on manufacturing floor for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.
  • Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
