About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for a Technician V to join their fast-paced Engineering and Test team in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will be supporting a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation within an Engineering Lab. This role involves assembling parts for electromechanical equipment, performing self-inspections, reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings, and inspecting parts and materials for flaws. The technician will use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances, manually solder or epoxy electrical components, and work with engineers to build newly designed parts and assemblies. The role also includes analyzing and initiating assembly methods, making interdepartmental contacts to resolve problems, and demonstrating intermediate computer skills. Learning and using multiple Manufacturing Execution Systems (Paperless, Solumina, Promis) is required, along with employing Microsoft Excel and Word for data manipulation and formatting. Maintaining appropriate training and adhering to company policies are essential. The position requires production accuracy, a quality-driven approach, and the ability to assemble, disassemble, and modify various production subassemblies. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies are also key attributes for this role.

Requirements

  • The ability to obtain a DoD Security clearance is required
  • 10+ years experience with HS Diploma
  • 3+ years with AA
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a successful working team
  • Familiarity with technology and labs

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in electronic assembly 10+ years
  • IPC-610/620 Certifications
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-883 Methods 2010 and 2017
  • Solder Reflow experience
  • Familiarity with commercial test equipment
  • Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment
  • Self inspection of your completed work
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings
  • Inspect parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use
