About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the development, fabrication, and inspection of tubes and tube assemblies for space launch vehicles. Utilizing automated bending equipment, you’ll develop and create assemblies that will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedication, commitment, and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC tube or manual bending experience
  • Working knowledge of standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment (band saw, chop saw, grinders, drills, torque wrenches, etc.)
  • Capable of using precision tools to accurately measure tight tolerances (calipers, height gauge, scales, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to stoop and stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry 40 lbs
  • Availability to work any shift with the possibility for overtime
  • Must have high school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
  • CNC operating experience
  • 3+ Years Aerospace Experience
  • CNC programming ability
  • Experience with aerospace end-forming machines
  • Experience measuring and inspecting tube assemblies using VMM or Laser Scanner
  • Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling systems, work order systems, inventory, and various issue tracking systems
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
  • Work with engineers to review design concepts, provide feedback for ease of assembly, and support development tests
  • Review, edit and follow work instructions for assembly tasks
