Requirements

  • Ability to perform mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Ability to read and work from work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, sketches, wiring connection lists, and/or other information and documentation.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to work day or night shift onsite in Courtland, Alabama
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Usage and knowledge of adhesives and bonding materials.
  • Usage and knowledge of cable harness fabrication and repair
  • Usage and knowledge of soldering
  • Knowledge and experience in crane operations, lifting, and handling.
  • Knowledge and experience in missile ground processing life cycle in preparation for launch/mission operations.
  • Knowledge of general test equipment operations.
  • Knowledge of environmental test operations.
  • Knowledge of proper use of standard hand tools.
  • Knowledge of test and measurement equipment (i.e., multi-meters, scales, or torque wrenches).
  • Knowledge of ordnance handling
  • Graduate of AIDT (Alabama Industrial Development Training)

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and test complex assemblies/subsystems into a missile.
  • Inventory and inspect parts for compliance with work instructions and other documentation.
  • Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Align, fit, and assemble parts using hand tools and fixtures.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate the performance of parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions and record results.
  • Support missile assembly, subsystem test, environmental test, pack & ship operations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems.
  • Create and work in a team environment while implementing Continuous Process Improvement.
  • Be able to give/take work direction to/from team members.
