About The Position

This role involves electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly, including constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, and/or systems. The technician will be able to work and build assemblies with minimal work instructions, interpret engineering drawings, and make initial layouts. Responsibilities include performing a variety of hands-on electrical assembly and minor mechanical assembly tasks, conducting basic math, and using computers at a basic level. The role may also involve conducting in-process quality inspections, making continuity checks, and disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications under simulated conditions.

Requirements

Proficient with harness fabrication / cable and connector assembly.
Proficient in the use of a variety of tools and materials related to electrical cable / wire harness fabrication and basic mechanical assembly.
Possess or have the ability to obtain the IPC620 and 610 certifications.
Strong mechanical background with solid working knowledge and understanding of drawings, measurements, and tool identification.
US Citizen with ability to maintain a Secret Security clearance.
Ability to travel to remote site to support field operations.

Nice To Haves

Proficient with test instrumentation (accelerometers, thermocouples, and strain gauges).
Proficient with test equipment (DITMCO, O-scope, etc.).
Prior experience/certifications related to the specific job description.
Willingness and ability to support occasional travel to remote sites in support of production operations.
Experience with, and understanding of, building deliverable hardware built to military / flight specifications.
