DISC Surgery Center is seeking a per diem Sterile Processing Technician for our Carlsbad location. This position will have a varied schedule, dependent on volume. Our location is currently operating Monday - Friday.
Requirements
- Certification in Sterile Processing
- 2 years professional experience in sterile processing role
- Understanding of sterilization and high-level disinfection technologies, including industry-standardized principles and practices in sterilization and disinfection
- Current BCLS Certification
- The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl and lift
Responsibilities
- Maintain instruments and equipment
- Prepare instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies for scheduled surgical procedures.
- Provide patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and achieve the center's goals as directed by the Administrator/Director of Nurses
