About The Position

Sika is seeking an experienced Technician to support laboratory testing and product development. The role involves compounding formulations and products according to instructions; testing laboratory and production samples and raw materials; collecting and recording data; and maintaining accurate records and reports. The Technician also maintains laboratory equipment and work areas, orders and stores materials and supplies, and follows established procedures, safety guidelines, and 5S practices. The position may involve working on minor projects and testing plans with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or college degree in general sciences.
• Some industry experience related to rubber, plastics, or adhesive materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Compound formulations and products according to instructions.
• Test laboratory samples, production samples, and raw materials.
• Work on minor projects and testing plans with minimal supervision.
• Keep accurate records of formulations and test results, generate reports, and flag abnormalities.
• Prepare reports or memos on assigned tasks or projects.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition.
• Keep assigned and shared work areas clean and tidy, following 5S and safety guidelines.
• Order raw materials and laboratory supplies as assigned.
• Store raw materials, retains, and reference samples in designated areas.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures, including standard equipment procedures and proper PPE use.
• Attend company-provided training programs.
