About The Position

The Technician - Powerhouse operates, repairs, documents, and performs preventive maintenance on the powerhouse electro/mechanical systems within the facility. This role involves operating stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as steam boilers, generators, steam turbines, air conditioners, distillers, and water softeners to provide essential utility services. The technician will monitor meters and gauges to assess equipment operating conditions and regulate the flow of water, fuel, steam pressure, and oxygen according to operational needs and safety standards. This position also includes performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires general knowledge of stationary engines, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Requires current knowledge of various federal; state; local; OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
• Requires the ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Power Engineering Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes meters and gauges to determine operating conditions of equipment and to regulate flow of water, fuel, steam pressure and oxygen in accordance with needs and safety standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
