About The Position

Responsible for maintaining records, daily reports, and performing maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision. This role supports the operations and maintenance of RP buildings, pipelines gathering systems, valves, pumps, and equipment. The position requires travel to various RP locations as assigned by the Network Operations Center (NOC) or Supervisor. Key duties include maintaining daily housekeeping, greasing motors, performing daily inspections of equipment and facility operating functions, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance. The role also involves routine inspection of pipeline right-of-way, repairing and replacing saltwater pipeline equipment, assisting with pigging and pressure testing, and conducting daily facility visits. The technician must be able to tow a trailer and operate a power washer, and cross-train in operating saltwater disposal (SWD). Responsibilities extend to tracking pipeline and discharge pressures, coordinating with trucking companies, and identifying/reporting operational, safety, and environmental concerns. Active participation in safety programs, development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes, and work plans is expected. All work must be performed in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and governmental activities. The role requires completing all applicable documentation and record keeping, demonstrating performance toward operational excellence, and collaborating effectively with others. Strong communication skills, dependability, and a consistent high level of performance are essential. The position involves non-traditional hours and a high regard for personal and public safety.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
A working knowledge of transmission pipeline systems, pump stations, etc.
Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of produced water.
Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of oil field materials and waste.
Experience analyzing, adjusting and making minor repairs on pumps and other associated equipment.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs and other diagrams.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
Computer literate – experience with operating software a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude on related equipment.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one (1) years related work experience in the oil and gas field.
Industry specific safety training (Safety, Land,OSHA,etc.)

Assist with pigging and pressure testing
Conduct daily facility visits
Be able to tow trailer and operate power washer
Cross train in operating saltwater disposal (SWD)

Coordinate with trucking companies on delivery of salt water
Identify and report operational concerns.
Identify report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
Actively participate in safety programs/initiatives, development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans.
Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, Company tariff requirements and governmental activities (PHMSA, EPA, USFS, state agencies, etc.).
Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.
Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
Collaborate with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
Will work non-traditional hours.
