The Pipeline Technician's responsibilities include performing or assisting with routine maintenance of electric motors, pumps, control systems, and complex equipment. This role involves troubleshooting problems, maintaining advanced monitoring devices, performing maintenance on medium voltage electrical equipment, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. The technician will also be responsible for maintenance on mechanical equipment such as valves and actuators, operating custody transfer measurement facilities, performing product quality control tests, and participating in required training and safety programs. Additionally, the role involves reviewing procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards, performing remedial and preventative maintenance, maintaining facility appearance and safety, and providing training and technical support. The technician will utilize precision tools and test equipment, respond to operational emergencies, perform regulatory inspections, locate pipelines, oversee excavations, launch and receive cleaning pigs and smart tools, install pipeline markers, maintain corrosion control equipment, attend damage prevention meetings, and interface with landowners.
