The Metallurgical Process Control Technician objective is to perform temperature uniformity surveys on thermal processing furnaces within the Columbus Forge manufacturing facility. Responsible for calibration and maintenance of electronic measurement and test equipment (MT&E); including temperature controllers, temperature indicators, and temperature recorders. Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, and operations to drive continuous improvement in products and processes. Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities. Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization. Be able to work in a team environment and handle multi-tasking duties. Required to successfully pass annual vision screening. Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, and MRP will be a necessity. This is a 2nd shift position. Monday -Thursday 4:00PM -2:30AM. But training will be on 1st shift. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Maintenance / Electronics or Electrical experience or a 2 year technical degree
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Be able to follow written/verbal procedures and instructions.
  • Possess good organizational skills.
  • Follow all EH&S rules and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, and MRP.
  • Five to six years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
