Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manual, operational descriptions, and circuit & wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of and experience with the following assembly equipment: Volt/OHM Meter, Measuring Devices, Power Supplies, Riveting Machines, Soldering Equipment, Testing Equipment, Small hand/pneumatic/electrical tools to assist in assembly process

Nice To Haves

  • Previous aviation assembly preferred.
  • Assembling experience preferred but will train.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for servicing products on a bench or on the shop floor as needed for production. Parts to be serviced include aviation mechanical, fuel, or electrical parts and accessories.
  • Position parts according to knowledge of unit being disassembled, inspected, assembled by following blueprints, manuals and/or operational descriptions.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Perform overhaul processes of metal and other material with service tools to produce close fit between parts.
  • Basic cleaning of components as required by process instructions
  • Utilize drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, soldering equipment, testing equipment, and small and pneumatic hand tools to assist in assembly processes.
  • Use all required safety equipment.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and work area.
