About The Position

Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This role involves examining customer vehicles, identifying necessary repairs and maintenance, estimating costs, and performing the work efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. The technician will document services, request necessary parts, and utilize available technologies to enhance customer experience. Maintaining CSI at or above Company standards, keeping a clean and safe work area, participating in training, and accurately recording hours are also key aspects. The position requires adherence to Safeguards rules, Company policies, and all safety regulations, while demonstrating the Company’s Core Values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • 5+ years of work experience in Automotive.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Designated a Master Technician by respective manufacturer (ASE Master if only required by manufacturer).
  • State inspection/emissions license required by State.
  • Completed manufacturer training including diagnostics, EV, diesel, specialty vehicles.
  • Completed necessary manufacturer training to complete all warranty repairs on all model vehicles.
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
