Assists in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, troubleshoots day-to-day manufacturing issues, identifies and/or implements system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield, and product performance goals. Develops a complete understanding of Deposition processes, equipment, and support systems. Solves day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems. Identifies and implements yield and product performance improvements. Develops methods to assign causes to yield excursions. Sets up and maintains gauges. Ensures all processes are running on target as defined by the Process Control Plan. Responds to SPC process control alarms, bringing processes back into control. Executes planned process experiments, collects and analyzes data, and reports experimental results. Collects data relating to daily tool performance and associated product performance. Provides training to production associates. Develops and updates internal documentation including drawings, standard operating procedures, and process specifications. Interfaces with internal associates and supplier representatives, as required, to complete assigned projects. Develops a complete understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems. Maintains effective communication with production associates and manufacturing engineers. Dispositions non-conforming product according to established criteria (NCP). Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards. Ensures waste materials are discarded in their designated containers. Ensures hazardous waste containers stay closed except when adding or removing waste. Ensures satellite accumulation containers stay in their designated locations. Other duties as assigned.
