About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility’s day-to-day operational and mechanical functions. The role performs assigned maintenance duties, adjusts and repairs equipment used in the Health Center and Assisted Living, including wheelchairs, beds, and walkers, and handles HVAC, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs. The technician responds to emergency maintenance requests, follows safety regulations, maintains clean and orderly work areas, and is on call as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.
• Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems operations.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the day-to-day operational and mechanical functions of the facility.
• Perform maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Adjust and repair Health Center and Assisted Living equipment, including wheelchairs, beds, and walkers.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust HVAC equipment.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Make minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Be on call as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
