About The Position

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems, including mechanical and electrical systems. Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield.

Requirements

  • Journeyman or master plumber license
  • Experience with commercial or industrial plumbing systems
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 35 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit, with occasional exposure above 95 degrees
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers for repetitive motions
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach above the head
  • Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and varying noise levels from office to loud production environments

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or a related field
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
  • Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts; reassemble repaired systems
  • Inspect maintenance systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or needed adjustments and ensure compliance with applicable codes
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems
  • Prepare technical reports related to preventive maintenance activities and issues
  • Perform equipment failure analysis, including preventive and unscheduled maintenance
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot water and medical gas supply and distribution systems, including valves, fixtures, and outlets; complete plumbing safety inspections
  • Repair, install, and replace wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring systems and equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
