About The Position

Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm, is seeking an onsite Technician/Machine Operator for its Pennsylvania recycling operation. This role reports to the Shift Supervisor and offers a starting pay of $19.00/hr with a schedule of 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Employees have the opportunity to earn an additional $2.00 per hour within their first year through a structured advancement program. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-sufficient, and safety-oriented, responsible for tasks such as unloading/loading trailers and operating machines that process waste and clean containers. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate large precision shop machinery.
  • Strong aptitude in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ability to articulate problems and solutions.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and personal initiative related to problem resolution duties with follow-through and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing stressful situations.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrate openness to learning by adapting to new processes, incorporating constructive feedback, and taking initiative to develop skills and expertise.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • This role is considered safety sensitive.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Previous forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and set up various shredding, grinding, and cleaning machines.
  • Resolve issues related to daily operations and maintenance.
  • Calibrate probes and monitor the pH of processed waste.
  • Read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Clear jams and clean machines daily in conjunction with the maintenance department.
  • Monitor machine performance and condition, notifying maintenance of any issues.
  • Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices.
  • Respect and build working relationships with co-workers.
  • Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills for unique problems.
  • Perform regular/daily cleaning of the work area and tools.
  • Load and unload trailers.
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
