This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments and performing additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned or necessary. The individual will set up and configure various low voltage systems such as security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, and network cabling. Responsibilities include running, terminating, and labeling cables according to project requirements and industry standards, performing regular maintenance checks, and identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtimes. The role also involves fixing faults or damages in systems, providing technical support and training to end users, and addressing customer inquiries. The technician must ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, follow safety guidelines, and maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. They will generate reports on system performance, evaluate existing systems for upgrades, and perform necessary enhancements. Collaboration with other technicians, engineers, and project managers is essential for successful project completion, as is effective communication with clients. The position requires staying abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and applying this expertise to develop and improve action plans. The individual will provide expert advice, support efforts to meet customer and business needs, and build commitment for perspectives. They will also support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying business needs, carrying out processes, monitoring progress, recognizing improvement opportunities, and adapting to changes.
