About The Position

At Main Event, Technicians are responsible for maintaining the FUN! As a Technician, Tech III specifically, you are knowledgeable about the mechanics and operations of games and entertainment options and ensure they are performing properly and safely. You are responsible for supporting the maintenance of the center’s equipment, building, and systems, and are dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation. Main Event is described as a new world of lights, music, entertainment, and laughter, where every Guest is greeted by genuine, glowing faces. Each center is full of passionate, driven people who serve others and create memories, offering chef-inspired meals, full-service catering with private rooms, a high-energy bar with the latest audio-visual technology, and spaces for birthday parties and corporate, school, and league events. Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • 2+ years of general knowledge/skill set in the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games
  • Guest-focused mindset
  • Teamwork is a must
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
  • Skilled in practical application of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics
  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools; ability to use and handle tools to perform work
  • Ability to perform work on ladders
  • Ability to handle equipment up to 250 lbs.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
  • Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards
  • Welcome and engage with all guests while being a FUN ambassador!
  • Performing electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive, and scheduled maintenance
  • Troubleshooting repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, etc.
  • Disassembling, replacing, and repairing mechanical and electrical components or parts such as bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Ordering supplies, tools, and materials as needed
  • Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility
  • Maintaining the business in the absence of the Technical Services Manager
