About The Position

Technicians typically work in an outside warehouse environment. This role involves loading and unloading hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials, sampling contents, and consolidating waste into larger containers for processing. The position requires operating a forklift, potentially performing basic lab-packing, and may involve training new employees.

Requirements

Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as a forklift and a pallet jack.
Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments.
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
Advanced knowledge of HAZ classes and waste codes.
Ability to identify consolidation materials and streams.
Advanced knowledge of the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA).
Ability to consistently and accurately complete outbound manifests.
Ability to safely lead daily work teams or shifts.
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth, promotes the Company’s safety standards.
Advanced knowledge of EQAI Software.
Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

Load and unload drums, totes, and containers of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from trucks.
Sample contents of drums, totes, and containers.
Consolidate drum contents into larger containers for processing.
Operate Forklift under company safety standards, forklift license not required company provided training.
May perform basic lab-packing at some work sites.
May train new employees.
