About The Position
Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician II to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in diesel mechanics, particularly with heavy construction or rental equipment. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with heavy construction equipment or rental equipment strongly preferred.
- Intermediate experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas engines.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing equipment repairs.
- Must have the necessary tools to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
- Intermediate understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
- Safety oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, and EGR aftertreatment systems is preferred.
- Diesel laptop and welding experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and equipment repairs.
- Maintain industry and Sunstate safety standards while performing equipment repairs.
