General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies. General Atomics Inertial Fusion Technology (IFT) division designs, manufactures and characterized first-of-a-kind precision components in support of the national labs, fusion and science technologies. Components are manufactured and measured on a variety of highly-specialized and precise equipment and are often millimeter in scale with micron-sized features and tolerances. We currently have an opening for a junior Technician in our Inertial Fusion Technology (IFT) division within the Energy group. This position will be based in San Diego, California, at GA's Torrey Pines campus. The position requires working under minimal supervision to accomplish maintenance, assembly, and fabrication tasks associated with the development of chemical vapor, physical vapor, sputtering, and electrochemical deposition coatings for the inertial confinement fusion experiments.
