Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for their shop in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment. Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Construction equipment or equipment rental background.
- Intermediate experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing equipment.
- Must have the necessary basic tool set to perform equipment repairs.
- Eager to learn and grow; open to training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
- Safety oriented.

Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions.
- Repairing heavy construction equipment.
- Inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment to ensure performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards while performing equipment repairs.
