About The Position

This position is part of Evident Inspection Technologies division, which delivers solutions to complex challenges by inspecting mission-critical assets and infrastructure. The division leverages nondestructive testing, remote visual inspection, and analytical instruments to support maintenance, manufacturing, and environmental applications. This position is based onsite in Webster, TX. The Repair Calibration Technician II is responsible for the in-house testing, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of Evident Instrumentation used in laboratory, manufacturing and other environments.

Requirements

HS Degree and associate degree in Electronics or equivalent
Military or Technical School is required.
3+ years of experience repairing instruments and/or electronic devices.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
Experience working in a calibration and repair facility is strongly desired.
Experience in technical after sales service environment/organization field service would be highly desired.

Responsibilities

Perform in-house testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of portable RVI (remote visual inspection) Evident Instrumentation.
Ensure timely, professional, and effective response to customer service needs to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsible for analysing results, and maintenance of logs and required documentation.
Prepare technical reports and Quality Control data for each unit’s record.
Must be able to read and comprehend standard Engineering documentation, such as, schematics, BOM’s, test procedures, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.
Must be able to effectively use the following electronic test equipment and software: multi-meter and PC diagnostic tools.
Follow detailed repair, calibration, and administration procedures for Evident products with excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task numerous customer repairs through to completion.
Excel in fast paced environment, ability to multi-task and work / meet shipping deadlines.
Record all pertinent repair activities with appropriate detail in the business CRM systems.
Prepare technical reports and Quality Control data for service events as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
