About The Position
The Technician II, Quality Control – MQC tests incoming and produced materials used in the manufacture of IDT products. The role supports manufacturing by ensuring product and process quality through analytical testing. It is part of the Materials Quality Control Team, located on-site in Coralville, Iowa, and reports to the Manager of Materials Quality Control. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (weekday overnight).
Requirements
- Associate’s degree and two years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with computers and a variety of software in a Windows-based environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience working with analytical instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Test incoming and produced materials used in the manufacture of IDT products.
- Support manufacturing by ensuring product and process quality through a variety of analytical test methods.
- Prepare samples and reagents in accordance with established SOPs for analytical and functional assays.
- Maintain detailed and accurate sample, product, and instrument records.
- Operate analytical instruments, including NMR, GC, UV-Vis, mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, and RP-HPLC.
- Process and analyze data to make pass/fail decisions on tested materials.
