About The Position

This individual will join a team that performs hardware design and development activities, supports bench and automated testing, and works closely with manufacturing operations among other cross-functional stakeholders that support product development. The technician will gain exposure to key microelectronics technologies across multiple Medtronic businesses including Electrophysiology Therapies (EPT) and Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health (Neuro). The Medtronic Tempe Campus (MTC) Product Development team develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures, and deliver successful patient outcomes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of technical work experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience
  • Experience performing electrical analysis, including interpreting schematics
  • Experience following procedures, standards, and basic laboratory techniques
  • Experience using standard test instruments such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and voltage/current measuring equipment.
  • Good communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or similar
  • Experience with design of microelectronics schematics and layout
  • Experience with LabVIEW in bench testing (running and modifying)
  • Experience in the medical device industry working on FDA regulated systems
  • Experience with software system to device interfaces
  • Customer focused and service oriented
