About The Position

The Technician I, Sanitation performs cleaning activities primarily related to packaging and other areas of the manufacturing facility. The role helps minimize interruptions to production and ensures equipment is properly cleaned in compliance with internal standards and regulatory guidelines for producing a high-quality product. The position follows safety, food regulatory, and operating procedures, and works from routine verbal and written instructions. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
• Ability to work in a team environment and provide feedback.
• Six months of sanitation experience in a food, beverage, or dairy processing/manufacturing environment, or a related field with transferable skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow CGMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and applicable safety, food regulatory, and operating procedures.
• Perform sanitation tasks involving standing, lifting, crouching, and other physical activity for extended periods.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures effectively.
• Perform interior building inspections.
• Apply sanitary-design knowledge to effectively sanitize equipment in production areas.
• Retrieve and deliver parts to and from production areas.
• Apply 5S knowledge and perform related activities.
• Train and maintain chemical controls.
• Understand Master Sanitation and good documentation practices.
• Support major cleans and department assignments.
• Train new team members and provide feedback while working in a team environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
