About The Position

The Technician I (Production, Assembly, QV Solar Panels) is responsible for performing assembly and production tasks in support of satellite system manufacturing. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized work instructions, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. The position supports manufacturing operations by assembling components, handling materials, and ensuring products meet established quality and performance standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring devices, and basic mechanical processes
  • Experience working in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing settings

Responsibilities

  • Assemble satellite subcomponents and production parts in accordance with work instructions and engineering specifications
  • Sort, stage, and organize materials on tables, racks, or bins
  • Use hand tools, fixtures, and measuring/test equipment to complete assembly tasks
  • Clean, package, and prepare completed assemblies for storage or shipment
  • Pack, seal, label, and move materials and finished goods as required
  • Handle small parts and components requiring manual dexterity
  • Follow standardized procedures to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Inspect own work and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Meet established productivity and production targets
  • Report defects, discrepancies, or process issues to supervision
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Comply with applicable safety standards under the Occupational Safety and Health Act
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow instructions and respond appropriately to supervisory direction
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support cross-functional operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
