About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician I, OSP Field Operations, specialized in fiber optics, to join our team. As an OSP Field Operations Technician I at Ezee Fiber, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining our high-performance fiber-optic network. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in FTTH installation and fiber construction/pulling/splicing, who are passionate about technology, enjoy working outdoors, and are eager to grow their technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of six (6) months to two (2) years of experience or training in fiber splicing and troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of fiber optic systems and network infrastructure.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

technical certifications in fiber optics are a plus.

Responsibilities

Trouble shoot, splice and testing of fiber optic cable.
Support maintenance and repair activities for fiber optic infrastructure.
Conduct basic site surveys and report findings to senior technicians or engineers.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as fusion splicers and OTDRs.
Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all field operations.
Document work performed, including installation details and service outcomes.
Respond to service calls and assist with emergency repairs as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
Participate in training programs to develop technical competencies and stay current with industry trends.
