Technician I - Fire Equipment Install - First Shift/Early Start Times - Kitchen Suppression Systems & Extinguishers
About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Fire Equipment Installer specializing in Kitchen Suppression Systems and Extinguishers. The role involves installing commercial cooking fire suppression systems and performing maintenance and service on fire extinguishers. The initial training period of 6-12 months will be full-time nights, with early mornings also possible. The position requires regular and dependable attendance, and the ability to solve complex problems using mathematical skills, analysis, and professional communication. Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Level 1 Illinois Fire Extinguisher License to be obtained upon hire
- Level 2 Kitchen Suppression License to be obtained upon hire
- Regular and dependable attendance.
- Relevant work experience required
Responsibilities
- Installs Commercial Cooking Fire Suppression Systems (Kitchen Suppression/Hood Systems d - Ansul and more) for Fox Valley Fire & Safety customers.
- Use basic tools such as screw drivers, hammers, wire cutters, splicing tools, and more.
- Perform maintenance and service on Fire Extinguishers.
- Use active listening skills to effectively understand the needs of our customers and internal teams, ask questions as appropriate and offer solutions.
- Solves complex problems using mathematical skills, analysis and professional communication.
- Manages time efficiently.
