About The Position

This position involves performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment, including remote auxiliary equipment. The role requires operating HVAC equipment, taking gauge readings, maintaining logs, and checking air handling units. The technician will also be responsible for programming A/C schedules, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to emergency conditions. This role will assist General Maintenance and the manager with technical and emergency situations, respectively. Additionally, the technician will order and receive materials, maintain inventory, complete associated paperwork, and uphold good housekeeping practices. The position also involves assisting in other repair areas, maintaining knowledge of property information, and adhering to all department and property policies and procedures. This position is represented by IUOE and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance to assigned areas.
  • Operates HVAC equipment including remote auxiliary equipment.
  • Takes frequent readings on all gauges on all property equipment and refrigeration equipment and maintain logs.
  • Checks all air handling units once per week and programming A/C schedules for all meeting rooms daily.
  • Performs all maintenance including preventive maintenance.
  • Responds to all emergency conditions.
  • Assists General Maintenance on technical problems.
  • Assists the manager in emergency situations.
  • Performs preventive maintenance to all equipment and record history in log.
  • Orders and receives materials related to area and maintain orderly inventory.
  • Familiarizes self with and completes all paperwork associated with preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices in shop and work areas.
  • Assists in other areas in repairs.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information and memorabilia.
  • Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
