About The Position

The RION Equipment Shop Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and conducting routine preventive maintenance on a variety of RION Equipment models. This role involves removing, installing, disassembling, assembling, and performing failure analysis on equipment systems including engines, attachments, electrical components, hydraulics, transmissions, power trains, brakes, steering mechanisms, and electronic/computer systems. Requirements

  • Diagnose and repair major systems: electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LP, power steering, transmissions, and engines
  • Troubleshoot and service truck components and complex electrical systems (IC and electric)
  • Perform engine tune-ups and preventive maintenance independently
  • Use and maintain standard and specialized tools properly
  • Conduct failure analysis across all equipment systems
  • Operate service van safely and in compliance with safety regulations (Field roles)
  • Follow all safety policies, contamination control, and HAZMAT regulations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively
  • Identify and order correct replacement parts
  • Complete required documentation: work orders, warranty forms, SIMS reports, expenses, and purchase orders
  • Provide repair quotes and reference flat rate services
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and cleaning of parts/components
  • Participate in ongoing training and development for RION Equipment models
  • Test hydraulic cylinders and perform safety checks to ensure proper operation

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Diagnose and repair major systems: electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LP, power steering, transmissions, and engines
  • Troubleshoot and service truck components and complex electrical systems (IC and electric)
  • Perform engine tune-ups and preventive maintenance independently
  • Use and maintain standard and specialized tools properly
  • Conduct failure analysis across all equipment systems
  • Review daily work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies at shift start
  • Verify warranty status and manage return of core/remanufactured parts
  • Operate service van safely and in compliance with safety regulations (Field roles)
  • Mentor apprentice mechanics through hands-on training
  • Follow all safety policies, contamination control, and HAZMAT regulations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively
  • Identify and order correct replacement parts
