About The Position

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining power washing equipment to clean various surfaces, ensuring they meet facility standards. The technician will perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on machinery, manage equipment inventory, and operate corporate vehicles. They will also respond to work orders, communicate with stakeholders, and participate in team activities. Additionally, the role involves seasonal exterior maintenance, such as snow and ice management, and evaluating needs for facility upgrades and cost-saving improvements. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to all company policies, and ensuring equipment and vehicles are in proper working order. The technician will also be responsible for submitting maintenance invoices and verifying vehicle insurance.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and maintain a minimum of a 90-day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Ability to read and speak in the English language.
Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight or weekends.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.

Nice To Haves

Experience in power washing/exterior maintenance.
Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.
State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).

Responsibilities

Operates and maintains pressure washing equipment, including pumps, hoses, nozzles, and accessories, to clean a variety of surfaces.
Evaluates areas to be cleaned to determine appropriate pressure levels, temperature settings, and operational methods.
Removes dirt, debris, trash, and other contaminants to ensure surfaces meet facility standards.
Follows established safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while working with high pressure equipment.
Performs safety and preventative maintenance checks on power washing machinery.
Maintains equipment inventory, installs normal wear parts, and ensures all tools are stored properly.
Operates and maintains corporate vehicles, ensuring they are stocked and in proper working order.
Responds to work orders using phones, tablets, or laptops to record tasks, maintain logs, and update documentation.
Communicates with facility users to troubleshoot issues, resolve service requests, and provide updates.
Builds relationships with key stakeholders to support operational needs across facilities.
Follows safety procedures, responds to work orders, completes documentation, and coordinates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools to meet business priorities.
Executes work assignments, monitors progress, and adapts to changing priorities or emerging challenges.
Performs additional facility related maintenance duties as assigned.
Performs seasonal exterior maintenance activities, including snow and ice management.
Evaluates current and future replacement needs for landscaping materials.
Implements upgrades to convert the facility into a sustainable unit.
Explores potential improvements to lower operating costs.
Coordinates with Home Office support to standardize equipment and reduce on-hand stock.
Sources tool and equipment purchases to perform repairs.
Ensures completed work meets quality and safety requirements.
Maintains a safe work environment and reports all safety violations to management.
Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, and other items are maintained in proper working order.
Conducts required pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
Reports maintenance or safety concerns in accordance with company policies.
Maintains vehicles in working mechanical and cleanliness condition.
Coordinates and takes vehicles for required maintenance, ensuring alternate driving support is arranged.
Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures vehicles have all the required documents.
Submits maintenance invoices for payment.
Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance.
Wears company uniform and badge according to company policies and procedures.
Operates, inspects, and maneuvers heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures.
Performs pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant.
Identifies unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and takes appropriate corrective action or escalates as required.
Ensures vehicles are properly locked, keys are stored per protocol, and vehicles are available for inspection or reassignment as needed.
Parks all assigned work vehicles at the designated Walmart parking location(s).
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
