About The Position

The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards. About the team: The Exterior Services Technician team plays a vital role in maintaining Walmart facilities through landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep. They manage projects, coordinate resources, and oversee third-party providers while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Requirements

Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining HVAC systems, including ductwork and control components.
Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control system issues affecting HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Competence in using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and team members.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling, equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC program.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple facility locations as required.
