About The Position

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial facilities. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to deliver quality service, supports operational needs including on-call duties, and adheres to company policies and standards. Effective communication with customers and adherence to regulatory requirements are essential to this position.

Requirements

  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Skilled in preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members while communicating technical information clearly to customers.
  • Valid driver’s license with safe operation of company vehicles and adherence to safety policies.
  • 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
  • Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
  • Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, reach-ins, and rack systems to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and service activities following OSHA standards and EPA refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.
