About The Position

Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a Specialty Equipment Food Technician to join its local and regional team. This role requires diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for specialty equipment. The technician will also be responsible for developing preventative maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs within the outlined timeframe, and conducting training for Store Associates. Requirements

5+ years of service experience in commercial maintenance
Familiarity with operating and performing service of equipment including programming and installation
Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years

Nice To Haves

Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

Responsibilities

Maintain Preventative Maintenance for all General Maintenance trades in a region of approximately 28 Walmart stores
Complete and adhere to all training requirements to safely operate and maintain food service equipment
Log into and utilize industry standard work order management system to accept and complete work requests
Conduct daily inspections after service by walking the area and checking for cleanliness and repair needs
Provide training to Store Associates weekly regarding care and cleaning of equipment
Evaluate asset condition and submit recommendations for replacement to management
Develop and maintain parts inventory to support preventative maintenance program in assigned area
