About The Position

Maintains and operates facilities infrastructure associated with MACOM’s Hamilton, NJ site, which includes manufacturing operations, offices with a restaurant, and R&D/Engineering facilities. The role involves maintaining offices, grounds, and building systems to the highest standards of appearance and reliability, as well as maintaining plant systems supporting manufacturing operations. These systems include HVAC, LP boiler, chiller operations, water systems, process cooling systems, and waste treatment operations. The technician will perform minor skilled trades work such as carpentry or painting for repairs and alterations, utilize technical skills for root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), and conduct periodic inspections to determine necessary repair work, working from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches. The position also supports continuous improvement programs to optimize dependability and performance, conducts routine EHS inspections, manages the site regulated waste program, and utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders and inventory. The role requires adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements for essential services like security, life safety, waste management, recycling, and office equipment, while operating within all EHS, federal, and state regulations. Participation in quarterly EHS Committee meetings and compliance with all company policies, including safety regulations, PPE, SOPs, quality system regulations, and GMP, are also required.

Requirements

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Experience in operations, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, and steam plant operations and repairs.
  • General carpentry, plumbing, and building repairs skills.
  • 5 years’ experience or equivalent in an industrial and commercial office environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate facilities infrastructure associated with MACOM’s Hamilton, NJ site.

  • Utilize technical skills to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective action & preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Make periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement programs to optimize dependability and performance.
  • Conduct routine EHS inspections in accordance with the current site compliance calendar.
  • Manage the site regulated waste program.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to complete scheduled repair work, track corrective action work, and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Support and follow established procedures and regulatory requirements associated with essential services.
  • Operate within all EHS, federal and state regulations to ensure environmental, health and safety guidelines are followed and maintained.
  • Support and participate in quarterly EHS Committee meetings as required.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
