About The Position
The Endoscopy Technician supports gastrointestinal procedures by assisting clinical staff, preparing and maintaining procedure rooms and equipment, and helping ensure patient safety and comfort. The role includes cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes; performing equipment safety checks; and following infection control standards and healthcare regulations. This is a per-diem position at the GI Center in Vineland.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
- Obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) and Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (FER), or equivalent certification, within one year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a formal Endoscopy Technician, Surgical Technician, or Sterile Processing program.
- Prior experience in endoscopy, sterile processing, or a related clinical setting.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and endoscope reprocessing standards.
