About The Position

As a Driver, Packing and Moving Technician at 1-800-Packouts, you will be an integral part of our disaster service team, contributing to the smooth and efficient content restoration process for our clients who have experienced house fires, floods, or water damage. Your responsibilities will include skillfully handling the packing and unpacking of boxes, proficiently moving furniture, collaborating with team members and project managers, assisting in loading items onto trucks, setting up furniture, and demonstrating adaptability to work in various outdoor conditions.

Requirements

• Must have a clean driving record for the past 6+ years, or be at least 25 years old with no driving infractions in the past 3 years.
• Strong physical fitness and endurance.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Adaptability to changing work environments.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• A thorough background check and drug test are part of the pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicles from the warehouse in Augusta, GA to the jobsite and back.
• Packing and Unpacking: Skillfully handle the packing and unpacking of boxes to ensure the safe and secure transportation of items.
• Furniture Handling: Proficiently move furniture, ensuring its safe transport to the designated location.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team members and project manager to coordinate and execute tasks effectively.
• Loading Assistance: Assist in loading items and boxes onto trucks for transportation.
• Setup and Unpacking: Help set up furniture and unpack boxes, ensuring items are placed in their original locations.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous movement is required.
• Environmental Resilience: Be prepared to work in various outdoor conditions, whether in hot or cold weather.
