Technician - Cylinder Filler

About The Position

This role involves loading and unloading gas cylinders and other products onto and off route trucks and trailers. The technician will also be responsible for rolling cylinders and operating a forklift for their movement. Sorting empty cylinders by type, checking quantities, styles, and product, and assisting with inventory are key duties. The position requires reviewing customer orders, pulling items from inventory, and loading them onto trucks for delivery. Basic cylinder maintenance, such as painting, labeling, and cleaning the work area, is also part of the job. The technician will assist with paperwork for shipments and complete daily and weekly assignments.

Requirements

High School Degree / GED
More than one (1+) year/s manufacturing or plant experience is preferred
Experience operating a forklift is preferred
Qualified candidate must possess good leadership, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Load and unload gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off route trucks and trailers.
Roll cylinders and operate a forklift truck for the movement of cylinders.
Sort empty cylinders by type.
Check for cylinder quantities, styles, and product, and/or assist with inventory.
Review customer orders, pull items from full inventory, and load items onto trucks for delivery.
Perform basic cylinder maintenance such as painting cylinders, labeling cylinders, and cleaning of work area.
Assist with accompanying paperwork for shipments.
Complete both routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments.
