About The Position

This position is responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. The role involves examining customer vehicles, identifying required repairs and maintenance, estimating costs, and executing repairs efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. Key duties include documenting services, requesting parts, and utilizing available technologies to enhance the customer experience. The technician is expected to maintain a clean and safe work area, participate in required training, accurately record hours, and adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and core values. Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required
  • 5+ years of work experience in Automotive
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer
  • State inspection/emissions license required by State
  • All required manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by HAG
  • Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests
  • Completed manufacturer training to perform: warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals
